Alekain, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization led by educators, international development professionals, diplomats, and academics with extensive experience with Afghanistan and its people, was founded to support the education of girls in Afghanistan.

Each year, Alekain will recruit and place at least 10 girls into Smart Schools International, a fully accredited online high school, and provide them with quality-accredited secondary education.
